Model: HS105-KIT
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.1.3

I have a single, older HS105 plug that works flawlessly.  I have an HS105 kit with two HS105 plugs.  All three are power lamps.  The two kit plugs will periodically turn off and then immediately turn back on.  One kit plug will turn off/on then immediately after the other plug will do the same.  It happens so randomly and so quickly, I don't get a chance to see if the indicator light changes color.  The plugs do not turn on/off.  If they are off, they stay off.

I contacted support.  They said the kit plugs were defective and sent me a new kit.  The new kit plugs did the same off/on sequence within minutes of installation and continue to do so.  Any idea what is causing the issue?  I'd rather not switch brands.

Joe

I had the wrong model numbers.  I corrected them.

@A2Joe

Do you happen to have another router or wireless device the plugs can connect to in order to see if it could be something on the network?

@Tony I do not.  I have an older HS105 plug (hardware version 1 I think) that does not exhibit this off/on.  It works flawlessly.  So, it's something to do with the newer plugs.

@A2Joe

Create a guest network, and only put that plug on it. For the guest network try changing the wireless security be it WPA or WPA2, any option you have to see if it becomes stable rather then leaving the settings on the default.

@A2Joe

Hi Joe

Do you by chance have a multi Access Point network in your environment that your devices are connected to?

If so, what brand/model?

There are a couple posts at the below thread that are exploring this with a possible workaround for the quick off/on problem when these smart switches hop nodes.

So far seen on a Deco Mesh system and a Tp-link Omada system with EAP225 V3 AP's.  Small sample so far, but gotta start somewhere.  This is an annoying problem.
