If you are using an iOS device, please ensure Local Network Access is enabled, as shown in the article here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211870
Furthermore, if your smartphone is connected to a VPN, please ensure the VPN is temporarily disabled or paused during the onboarding process.
