Hi, recently my activity zones seemed to become ineffective. The camera notifies and records all activity anywhere in the view of the camera, and not just the activity zones set in the app. I have tried the usual "delete and recreate zones" and "unplug the camera" but to no avail. I refer to a previous post https://community.tp-link.com/us/smart-home/forum/topic/269434 which mentions the same issue, and the response was that the problem had been identified and would be rectified in the next firmware release. That OP listed firmware 2.3.8 at the time; I am now on 2.3.11 and still have the same issue.

 

Could you let me know how to fix this please?

 

We get constant notifications every time a vehicle drives past on the road. I can partly understand this if their headlights shine onto my property during the night, but during the day there is no movement within the activity zones but we still receive notifications and recordings.

Thank you for your feedback. Was there any change of light in the detected clips, as the change of light in the Activity zone will also trigger the motion. 

Also adjust the Sensitivity level accordingly.

If the above does not help,  can you help provide a photo of the activity zone, a video clip showing the issue (you could share via Google Drive or PM), Kasa app version, thanks in advance

Hi, how do I PM you please to send you an example video and a screenshot of my activity zones? There is no light change in the video which would trigger motion, the sensitivity is set at 2 (though setting at 1 makes no difference) and the listen for sound is turned off. The app version is 2.35.0 Build 973
