I have been burned by devices that require back-end services from the provider when the provider goes out of business or just decides not to support the device any more.

 

As a result, I like to buy devices that support open, standard protocols so that they can continue to work when the manufacturer stops supporting them.

 

Does the KC410s support standardized protocols like video over http, rtsp, mjpeg or similar?  I checked the manual and couldn't find any reference.

Hello @thisisjjd 

Thank you for being interested in kasa device, while Kasa camera doesn't support streaming over HTTP/ RSP, the mjpeg videos over https is also not supported.

Kasa camera need Kasa app to watch live on the phone.
