Ceiling Fan switch
Is there a ceiling fan switch coming soon that can control dimmer and speed? I'd like to stay with one app. I really like my current Kasa switches they work well and coordinate well with my Google Home.

The time has come!
As many of you began to find out earlier this week, the release for the KS240 was officially slated for release today. We appreciate the information everyone has given before and after the release of the device. The device has been relisted on Amazon for its official release on Amazon today.
You can find the Community’s Official Release Post for the KS240 Here:

The KS240, a Light Dimmer and Fan Speed Control Switch, was first announced at CES this year. We do not yet have a release date, but stay tuned as more information should be available soon.

@Riley_S Any update on this switch?

I cannot provide an update for the device, especially when closing in on a potential launch. I have seen the device internally, however the release of the device beyond that is still subject to a variety of factors, and I still cant guarantee a release in case something comes up.

Is this going to be Matter enabled?

I believe that when the device was first announced, it was announced with matter compatibility, however, there have been a large number of changes made to the matter protocol so things may have changed - so i cannot guarantee its certification until we see the latest materials for the release . I will see if I can find this out, but we should see more up-to-date and official information soon. you may be able to find information through the CSA but this still is version and firmware specific.

You do know that CES 2024 is around the corner.
The lack of products announced at CES 2023 that have yet to ve released almost a year later is turning out to be nothing but vaporware.

This is no way to treat your customers..... We've been in the dark for months now and you won't even give us any sort of hint about anything!
I seriously regret buying Kasa devices if this is how you're going to handle these things...

Just installed an ES20M Motion/Dimmer Switch and saw the option for the KS240 Light Dimmer and Fan Speed Control Switch in the KASA App while installing, but not seeing it in the stores. I have nearly every outlet in the house as a KASA smart lighting, the only lacking rooms were with ceiling fans. Where can we find the KS240 Light Dimmer and Fan Speed Control Switch? or at least details reading up on what to expect. If there are demo or beta tests, I would love to evaluate.

@Riley_S since the other thread got locked, are you still targeting the end of January? Getting close!
Also, please let your product team know that they should be incredibly embarrassed... Your competitor meross released their version of a fan/dimmer switch back in October... That's just appalling from TP-Link's point of view. Meross has an entire line of smart switches too! You are losing market value. That should be EXTREMELY concerning, but it doesn't seem like it is.
If this is really how TP-Link is going to handle their business, I'm very worried that my whole house is Kasa switches... It makes me think that the Kasa line isn't important and it's going to get shut down. Pretty scary for people that have done the same as me and invested heavily in your product line.
And for the last year, there really have been no reassurances that Kasa remains a leader in the industry. In fact, with the way this single switch has been handled, is TP-Link just looking the other way? And then the Kasa integration with Tapo, and CES24 being entirely Tapo-focused.
I feel like we're all being left behind. Your product team should be ashamed, as should your leadership.
