My router will show both wifis 2.4 and 5 but none of my devices can connect to the 5 wifi, not my phone, ipad, thermostat, computer, tv, alexa, nothing. Already factory reset twice, removed smart connect unplugged, etc.
A lot of devices will only connect to the 2.4 wifi. You can try turning off or lower security encryption on the 5 wifi to see if anything connects. Also try different channels and bandwidth.
@ArcherC8 thanks! How do I lower the security encryption? Or try different bad widths?
go to the advance settings then wireless. Have smart connect off. Select wpa/wpa2-personal or none to change the security level. None is not good but okay for a test only.
Also try different modes because if you have AX only then only devices that support AX will connect.
Also be sure you have hide SSID off (not checked) oddly it is safer.
