Model: Tapo C110
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.3.4

I've had aTapo C110 for a few months now, and it's working great.  But I just purchased a C111 (black version of the C110), and I'm finding the image to be darker and washed out.  I looked through the app for any way to adjust the image (brightness, saturation, etc.), but I can't find anything.  If those settings exist somewhere, can you please help me find them?  If not, then I'd like to request that as a future enhancement.  I know these are budget cameras, but every other budget camera I've owned has had at least rudimentary image adjustment controls.

I just bought two more C110 cameras, so I'm hoping their images look as good as my first C110.  But either way, it's nice to be able to tweak the image settings rather than relying on the camera to just automatically pick what it thinks is best.

I was unable to select Tapo C111 as the camera model on this form.  My C110 is hardware V1 with firmware version 1.3.0, but my C111 is hardware V2 with firmware 1.3.4.

Thanks!

  @kzibart,

In general, no, there are no fine-tuning settings, mainly due to the fact that most cameras use technologies such as HDR that potentially interfere with how the brightness/contrast is calculated. I will pass the feedback along that some basic controls would be more than welcome for some situations.

I would recommend looking at the "Advanced Settings" section of your camera settings as there is an option to turn off Hardware Acceleration, which could potentially cause similar behaviors with the live view.

Is there any way that you can relay a comparison image to our team to take a look at and get a better understanding of the differences?

Thank you for the reply and the suggestion.  I did try switching from hardware acceleration mode to compatibility mode, but I didn't notice any difference in the image.

This is a snapshot from yesterday evening from the C111:

This is from the C110 from about the same time:

And this is from my doorbell camera, which is a different brand, but it has about the same scene as the C111 (yard, houses, sky), to show how much brighter and saturated the image is:

  @kzibart,

Real Quick, Have you tried seeing if the same image is seen when not using the C111 through a window? It is possible that window tinting or extra panes could distort the color of the image.

Also, I have to point out as a warning - the C110 is not an Outdoor camera and will not stand up to the elements and temperature changes.
