Switching my router to WPA3 then back to WPA2 caused my Kasa Camera to stop working
Hi,
In an effort to update my home wifi's security, I changed my router settings to WPA3. This was fine for all my other devices but not my Kasa Camera.
I reset my Kasa with the button under the lens, made it to the setup process with the orange and green blinking light, switched my internet to the Kasa Cam network, and then waited for the device to recognize my home internet. When it located the SSID, it was grayed out because the network was WPA3. Then it says the Kasa does not support WPA3.
Then I went back to my router's settings and changed it to WPA2/WPA3 and restarted the Kasa Camera connection process. Again my internet was grayed out and says it cannot connect to WPA3.
Finally I went to my router and restored the settings to the original WPA2 settings thinking this would do the trick. I even changed the name of my SSID and rebooted the router. The same thing happened when I tried to connect to my Kasa. My new SSID was grayed out and it says it cannot connect to WPA3.
Did I just brick my camera?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
