Model: Deco X55
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.4.0

I have the Deco X55 Ver 1.26, recently updated to firmware 1.4.0  I have been having periodic drops in service, most noticable during video calls, where the call drops out but picks back up automatically after a few seconds.

My ISP says they can see that the router frequently releasing the IP address and requesting a new one.

I was not having this problem prior to the firmware update and I'm wondering if anyone else is having similar problems or has a solution.  My ISP does not offer a fixed IP for residential customers, so I have to leave the router in auto for the WAN IP or risk other issues.

Any suggestions?

Can I roll back the firmware on my 3 Deco X55 units?  I've also had significant problems with all my Google Home hardware and dropping out since the firmware update.

  @Brian2700  I'm having the same issue but on their download page it says you can't rollback.  This behavior is completely unacceptable as I and my wife work from home.  If they can't get us a solution soon I may be forced to buy a new router(wasted money).  This is ridiculous from a support perspective.

  @BrianThoms

Here is a beta firmware for Deco X55 1.2. You could test whether it helps:

  @A-Deco-user I have installed this beta firmaware and been running it for a few days now and it seems to have fixed the issue with contantly releasing WAN/dropping internet for 20 secs or so. I installed on 2 of the 3 devices and have been streaming TV and other items with no issues.

Downside about 2-3 weeks too late as i had to purhcase a new router as this was affecting my ability to work as me and wife both work from home.

Just an update for anyone searching for a solution to the WAN connection drops I've described above with firmwarever 1.4.0, the beta firmware available on the forum for the Deco X55 resolved the issue.

I'm seeing this exact issue on a BE85, FW 1.1.1, Build 20241023 Rel. 34667

I guess I need to create a new thread given this is a BE85 rather than X55.
