Just about any extender or AP will work. Choice may depend if you can run an Ethernet cable which is better. You can use a waterproof model or if conditions allow, just use an indoor less expensive extender and protect it the best you can. If it lasts a few years, just replace it. I have several indoor devices (Wyze cameras) placed outdoors but protected from the sun and rain without issues for years. I would think an extender would do the same.
