Horrible Signal after recent firmware update 1.8.1

App just recommended an update. I have a mesh network with 9 access points and one outdoor X50 and now my signal on 6 of the 9 devices is lowest it's ever been (weak). Anyone else having issues after the update? I've been very happy with the devices until now. Thank you.

@JamesCyber I've got bad connectivity as well, but even worse is that my devices have become a shitpile of unstable crap. I've got 7 Deco M9+ connected to a central Cisco switch (6x V2 and 1x V2.20), and after upgrading to the 1.8.1 build 20250219 Rel. 56714 version they are dropping constantly, showing red lights and swapping between thinking they're connected wirelessly or cabled. I've not changed anything in my cabling, I was just stupid enough to think the newer firmware would be an actual "upgrade" instead of a "kill-my-network-code".
@Deco people - if you are reading this, please reach out (or even better - release a proper firmware)

@LasseD hello, same exactly problems as you described. I have 4 deco m9plus and 1.8.1 Build 20250219 Rel. 56714.
I found in other post suggestion to upgrade to 1.8.1 20250605.

I have just performed upgrade on all four decos. I hope to get some improvements. I'll let you know in some days.

@LasseD mine still continues to be bad and same problems also. Shocked they haven't fixed this yet. I have two of mine I can't even get back online recently claiming low signal. So frustrating.

@JamesCyber I have just upgraded to 1.8.1 20250605 as suggested here

I can say that now the mesh decos are able to connect to the best signal received. Before this upgrade the deco mesh are stuck always to the main deco. I hope also improvements in overall stability but it's too early to say that.

@Catalyst6500 great thank you. I'll try that bc mine is doing exact same thing. I appreciate it. I'll post my results when I get home from travel.

@JamesCyber @Catalyst6500
Thanks for posting, and my apologies for not replying earlier. I upgraded to the beta 1.8.1 Build 20250605 Rel. 63802 on all my 7 units (two of them are V2.20, the other five are V2.0), and all of my units have been rock solid since. Reception seems quite ok as well.
I've not read up to see if TP-Link has made any comments to this continuous "Decogate"-issue, but I'm hoping they're paying attention and doing better testing next time around.
I did turn on the IoT network when using the previous firmware, but I've not dared enabling it again (I'm not sure if that was causing any issue at all though).
L.
