Hi,
The clip time you set in the Tapo app should be the maximum clip length; it does not mean that every video clip's length will be 120 seconds, but a video clip's length can only be up to 120 seconds.

If you think the camera's single video clip does not capture the entire motion, please confirm the following information:
  1. Have you subscribed to the Tapo Care service to store the camera's video clips or inserted an SD card into the camera to store video clips? 
  2. What's your camera's model number, hardware, and firmware version?
  3. Please send us a video showing the reported phenomenon. You can upload the video to your cloud server (such as Google Drive), generate a download link, and send it to me (@Solla-topee) via a private message.
