I installed the latest KS225 dimmer switch in my apt to operate my recessed ceiling lights, which, according to the manufacturer, are dimmable. 

However, after successful installation of the switch according to the instructions and connecting it to teh app, the lights only flare up once after pressing the on switch and then immediately shut off again. 

Any idea what could cause that?
