Solution RE700X/RE705X Shows "Offline" in EasyMesh Device List After Updating to New Firmware
Hey Everyone,
We've gradually added support for EasyMesh R2/R3 to certain models, such as the RE700X and RE705X, which have received several improvements, including EasyMesh Ethernet Backhaul networking capabilities. As a result, many users of these models have experienced improved EasyMesh networking.
Recently, however, we received feedback from some users that, after updating the firmware, their Range Extenders appear as "offline" in the EasyMesh Device section of the main router. Please note that in the reported cases, this abnormally displayed status does not actually affect network operation.
Our teams have identified the cause of this unexpected behavior, and our R&D department has also provided beta firmware for some models to help remedy the phenomenon.
Applies to:
RE700X(EU/US)_V1/V2
RE705X(EU/US)_V1/V2
Phenomenon:
After updating the firmware, affected Range Extenders appear as "offline" in the EasyMesh Device section of the main router.
Note: This abnormal status display does not actually affect network operation.
Available Solution:
If you experience this phenomenon in your router's UI but your network functions normally, you can wait for the next official firmware update for your device. For interested and willing users, the following beta firmwares are available for manual download to test and verify if they resolve this unexpected behavior.
