I have a Tapo C645D camera, and am using iOS Tapo app... I would like to just leave it capturing all the time, while I am sitting by the tablet and viewing the app. When I close the app, it can go to sleep.

However, if I leave the app running on my tablet, it goes to sleep after a few minutes, and repeatedly asks me to tap a button to wake it up. Is there any way to get it to just stay recording as long as I am viewing on the app?

Cameras like the Tapo C645D Kit, cameras that are battery-powered, do not support continuous streaming. This is because of the severe drain on the battery that would cause. So when viewing the stream, you will have to refresh the live view every few minutes.

Alternatively, there is an option in the camera that allows for 24/7 capture that does not require constant viewing of the live stream. The details of this feature can be found in this FAQ.

For cameras that can provide a constant local live view without refreshing, you would need a wired-powered camera and a MicroSD card for 24/7 continuous recording. With wired-power cameras, accessing the live view without refreshing is possible while your viewing device is on the same network.
