Does the C402 KIT have on-device AI person detection or does it use the cloud?  I ask because it takes about 5 seconds for the Person Detection to occur (from when I see the green LED light up and my automation is run).  I have raised the detection sensitivy all the way up and that brought it down from 8 seconds.  Is it feasible with one of your other cameras to make this quicker?

As a battery‑powered camera, it remains in sleep mode most of the time. When its PIR sensor detects movements, the sensor wakes the camera, which then begins detecting events and recording video.

So all your battery cameras have about the same delay?

A 5-second wake-up time is unusually long, but if the camera is positioned such that its PIR sensor cannot effectively detect motion in the scene, such delays can occur. For instance, radial motion — such as someone walking directly toward the camera from a distance — is difficult for the PIR sensor to detect promptly. In contrast, lateral motion across the camera’s field of view is much more easily detected. You can find more details in the article i provided above.

Battery-powered cameras are designed with an energy-saving wake-up mechanism to maximize battery life. If you prioritize instantaneous alerts, an AC-powered (plug-in) camera would be a better fit. These models offer real-time monitoring capability and can notify you instantly of any scene changes.
