Hi,
On the Tapo app > camera's Live View page, please check if your video mode is set to Day mode. If so, change the video mode to Auto mode and check if this helps.
If the camera's video mode is set to Auto, but the camera does not work in Night mode when the environment is dark, please send us a picture of the camera's live view page, set the video mode to Night mode manually, and then check if the camera displays a clear black-and-white page.
You can upload the picture to your cloud server (such as Google Drive) or YouTube, generate a download link, and send it to me (@Solla-topee) via a private message.
Best Regards

Hi,
Typically, on the Tapo Camera's Live View page, if Video mode is set to "Auto", the camera automatically switches between Day and Night modes based on ambient light conditions. For example, when ambient light falls below the camera's preset threshold, the camera automatically switches from Day mode to Night mode.
From the image you provided via a private message, although the light condition in the camera's live view is not very bright, objects within the field of view are still almost visible. It's normal for the camera not to automatically switch from Day mode to Night mode in this situation.
Best Regards

Thank you for your response.
It is disappointing that the camera performs in this manner. While I like some of the other Tapo products I will no longer be purchasing their cameras. They just don’t perform as well as other cameras that I’ve used.
