Model: RE815X
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.0

I was wondering if you use a tri-band extender with a dual-band router, will you be able to use the third band for client devices or will it be dead without a channel to extend?

Thank you in advance!

Hello  @jzchen ,

Range extenders work by receiving and rebroadcasting the WiFi signals from your main router. If your router only broadcasts on two bands (typically 2.4GHz and 5GHz), the extender would extend those two bands.
