Firmware Version: 1.011

So this is a talke of Deco and Tp-Link problem.

I had a X60 master node die and had to take a new node and make it the master.  I kept the same WiFi ID and the same password.

All the TP-link devices did not connect to the system.  I have to goto all 25 devices and start adding them back one by one!

Why is this happening, since the WiFi ID id the same and same password?

You would think that Deco would play nice with TP-link since they are the same company!

Hello,

Thank you for sharing your experience and feedback.

Generally, if you replace your Deco main unit and keep the same Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password, your TP-Link devices should automatically reconnect without needing to be re-added.

However, in some cases, they might not reconnect immediately due to cached credentials or other temporary issues. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this:
1. Restart the devices: Power cycle the TP-Link devices that didn’t reconnect. Sometimes a simple reboot helps them recognize the network again.
2. Check Wi-Fi encryption settings: Ensure that your new Deco network uses the same encryption type (e.g., WPA2/WPA3) as before. A change in encryption can prevent older devices from connecting.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, we recommend contacting our technical support team for further assistance.

Best Regards.
