Model: Tapo C460
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.1

I have the Tapo C460 cameras working with Samsung SmartThings - most of the way.  See video below.  Displaying individual cameras on a Samsung phone with SmartThings works, but not multi camera view.  Displaying on a Samsung TV with SmartThings works better with a NVR type interface - meaning multiple cameras.  Notiications are glitchy.  SmartThings only processed motion events, not people, pets or vehicles.  Sometimes the events will not propogate.  The events work fine in the Tapo App and in Google home.  Comments welcome.

Did you ask on smartthings community?

I know many people ditch smartthings for various reasons.

Smartthings hubs require internet,  it is cloud based solution, I know ISPs and other parties monitor and modify internet traffic which may result in symptoms you described.

Their use of AWS is also  privacy concern.

Hopefully TP-Link will not get idea to follow their business model.

I looked it up, and it seems Samsung TVs generally support multiview—like this guide shows a four-screen setup. https://www.samsung.com/ca/support/tv-audio-video/use-the-multi-view-feature-on-your-samsung-smart-tv/

Is the difference you’re seeing maybe because of the specific TV model?

@Wayne-TP  Multiview still uses SmartThings, and people, pet and vehicle notifications are not processed.

This is likely beyond what we can directly address. Our cameras support these advanced detection features, and if a third-party platform has built the necessary functionality to receive the data, it should work. If they haven’t implemented it, we unfortunately can’t make it work from our side.
