2026 Monthly Featured Firmware Updates - Smart Home

This year, the community team is continuing our firmware project, which aims to provide a lasting resource for you to see some of the key firmware updates and features delivered to your devices throughout the year.

As a reminder, this project is led by our community team and requires us to review each firmware update individually. Please consider this when requesting updates or confirming compatibility, as we may be able to reach out to confirm, but it is not always readily available. The most accurate and up-to-date notes will always be on your device’s support page.

 

• Not all hardware versions are guaranteed to receive a feature or update
• Only models and updates with significant changes or additions are included
• General bug fixes and minor updates are largely left out (unless related to recent community feedback)
• Always default to the official patch notes for your device's model AND hardware version.

You may have seen these features in a similar update (1.7.1); however, after feedback, the firmware was redeveloped and instead re-released under 1.6.5. The 1.6.5 version contains all the features from 1.7.1, along with a few added fixes. Your device will automatically update to 1.6.5 from both lower versions of firmware and 1.7.1.
