Does this camera always record sound even tho I have switched recording to only video? Is it ALWAYS listening? If so How do I make it to not pick up every sound made in a quiet area?
I believe you are confusing Live View with what is recorded. As long as you set the Privacy & Security to Video only then the audio will not be recorded.
If you are referring to the Live View audio, the microphone is the small circular hole on the side of the camera. Although there is no setting to disable audio that way, you can probably place a object to obstruct the audio from receiving.
