Can LED strips be installed under stair threads? If so, how do I go about it?

Installing it underneath the stairs should be fine, but finding what to do with the wires may be another thing as the power adapter is connected to the strip.

Would I need power adapter for each stair thread? If so, yeah, that would be troublesome.
