I'm considering creating a 'remote' for my wife to use to use with our smart home switches and plugs. 

I'll probably be using a raspberry pi handheld; running either android or Linux.  If Kasa is available for Linux computers, then it should be straight forward.  

If not, then, as I can't access Google app store with an android Pi, I would need a direct package download of the Kasa app.

Any info would be appreciated.
