C425 Camera simply will not connect to network
I reached out to my neighbors and several said Tapo cameras were great. One gave me a C425 to try oiut. Said it would take 5 minutes to add to my home newtork and they "worked great". Only it doesn't! I charged the battery; loaded the app to my iphone12;. went through all the blinking lights stuff and after all this, it simply failed. As mentioned, this is an iphone 12; I have Xfinity cable and rent an Xfi modem/router. Looking at the Gateway software, there are two networks (Bubba) with the same SSID one is 2.4 and the other is 5.0. I am told this is standard and most devices that require 2.4 simply find it. Only I keep getting no 2.4 network is available. I have invested 6 hours. I have loaded and then deleted and reloaded the app three times. I even reset my gateway which messed up everyone in the house. This is simple: I went through the setup at least three times. Every time, this FAILS and says no 2.4 Ghz network found. I found others that have had this issue and while some got their camera to work, they honestly didn't know what they did to get it working. This is fundamentally simple: nothing in your directions addresses this and this rather simple process keeps failing. This should not be happening. I have standard equipment from reputable companies with the exception it would appear, of your camera. WIllgive it a day or so but giving the camera back. Complete waste of time.
