Portable battery camera ALWAYS requires a router..!

So, if you have setup one of these cameras, first thing they do is create their own WiFi connection. For the first part of the process the camera and setup device are directly connected.

After that, it's all downhill I'm afraid. That incredibly useful direct connection is gone forever. Now you need a router.

That completely rules out any application where you might install the camera remotely and pop by to check it from time to time.

If you want a simple baby or pet monitor you can connect directly to your phone, forget it. Only works if there's a router around. For all you folks ditching the router in favour of phone only, no dice...

How could you have got this so wrong TP-Link?

Remember, this is a battery powered camera that records to SD and has a light/siren to deter rascals... Just made for those out of the way places.

Why not keep such a useful feature after setup? Come on, just include it, you'll sell a lot more...
