Hello all,

i just bought the Tapo C120 camera. i read it can link to my Synology and am trying to do so but not able to connect. i am not sure if i am doing anything wrong but would like some help.

1: both synology and camera are on same Network

2: i have already went into app, Advanced Settings => Camera Account => toggle the "Camera Account" and made an account user / pass

3: in Synology i went to "IP Camera" => (did search but did not find it, so add it manually)

4: filled in the information :

                         Name: test_Cam1
                         Brand: [ONVIF]
                         Model: All functions
                         Camera IP: XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX

                         Port: 2020

5: add in the cert for camera

               - This is the user / pass i made in the app in step 2.

6: click Auth but get the Yellow ! mark saying not Auth.

That is were i am stuck at.

Hi,
You can refer to the instructions below to troubleshoot if you fail to establish an RTSP/Onvif connection with the Tapo C120.
What can I do if fail to stream the Tapo camera via the RTSP/ONVIF protocol?

If the same phenomenon persists, please confirm the following information.
  1. Have you subscribed to the Tapo Care service for your camera? Is an SD card inserted into the camera for video storage?
  2. What URL or resolution did you use when establishing the RTSP/Onvif connection?
  3. How many devices are streaming the camera's live feed simultaneously?

Best Regards
