sure. for a given 10.x.y.y class B network (16 bits for host space), I use the 3rd dotted quad to segment device types (servers, pcs, sensors, lights, network infrastructure, unknown, banned, etc)...

@MrLightBlue I have an H500 with cameras and T310 temp/humid sensors bound to it. HomeAssistant is able to read the T310 sensors directly off of the H500 without needing internet.
