@Mr.Dave Please do a factory reset by holding the reset for 10 seconds. Another thing to do is to update the latest firmware, even if the router is already running the latest.

@rholdy Might have to do with the DNS servers being used. Change the DNS servers: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/1855/ Primary try: 8.8.8.8 Secondary try: 8.8.4.4

@starmanj If you use the Ethernet backhaul or Wi-Fi it is still a mesh network regardless. Yes, this can be forwarded as a feature request.
