Same issue. New purchase, app updated (using iPhone 11), hub has amber light. App reads "can't find any devices".

Is anyone having any success overcoming this?

Updating the app solved it for me, after a frustrating two hours of trying everything else.

Same problem, I bought the unit back to the supplier and it works there. I was even able to connect it in my phone's app. But back home same problem, it still won't connect to hub. Could it be because my router is Wi-Fi 6? But all my other Tapo units connected fine when I changed router and ISP.
