Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: Latest

Hello,
I need your help.

I have two sites.

On site no. 1,
I have an ER605 as an openvpn server and i have a network-connected device (192.168.0.100) that broadcasts that it is running on 192.168.0.255

I connect with windows openvpn client from site 2 to ER605 on site 1 and it connects as it should and bring up the tunnel.

But when I open the software that is supposed to talk to the device (192.168.0.100) on site 1, it doesn't recognize that it is running.
somewhere along the way, address 192.168.0.255 is blocked.

The software listens for device at 192.168.0.255 and comes up in a list in the software when the software detects it on the network.

I have tried this solution before with openvpn server on pfsense in TAP mode and then a windows client on the other side and it workd.

I see i can´t configure openvpn i ER605 as TAP mode...

Can this be solved in any other way using the ER605 on site 1?
Can I configure this with Ipsec instead on the ER605?

Hi @Micke80

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

Set up the GRE VPN which supports the broadcast over the tunnel.
