Model: Archer AX55
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.3 Build 20240628 rel.37017

About 2 months ago, I brought a TP-Link router from Saudi Arabia. Although the router supports 5 GHz, my Nothing Phone (1) and Galaxy Note20 Ultra do not support 5 GHz. Both phones were purchased from Saudi Arabia before I bought the router. However, my mother's phone was purchased from Bangladesh and my mother's phone was connecting without any problem on 5 GHz. Later I found out that the channel varies from region to region and my router was purchased from Saudi Arabia. Where in Bangladesh I can find out that 5 GHz works on channels 149-160. Later, after restarting the two phones I was using, I saw that 5 GHz was working on both my phones. But, as soon as I turn off the airplane mode and turn on the SIM connection or mobile data, the 5 GHz connection is getting disconnected. Does AX55 have any firmware for Bangladesh? Through which the router will be able to get 149-160 channels. Because, now I am getting 36-127 due to the firmware of the Saudi Arabia region.

Hi@DYNAMICxHIMEL,

Welcome to our community.

We have a pre-release firmware for Archer AX55_V1, it is recommended that you try it: Archer AX55 V1 Supports Extending Guest Network via EasyMesh and Optimizing Performance in AP Mode

For your issue, it may be related to regional channel restrictions and conflicts between SIM cards and Wi-Fi bands. It is recommended that you compare the use of SIM cards from two regions on the same phone, or use a SIM card from the Bangladesh region on phones purchased in different regions to confirm whether the problem is caused by compatibility.

Best Regards.

Hi,

The Archer AX55 V1 uses the same firmware update file for all regions. Therefore, installing another firmware won't change the available channels.

Anyway, the country code of the AX55 V1 is set during manufacturing at the factory. It is not possible for a user to access and modify the file that contains the country code.
