Can I use a Deco X50-5G with my existing M9 Deco units?

Hi ...
I've got 3 x M9 Deco units, with one conencted to my Virgin router (being used only as a modem).
As Virgin keeps going down I'd like to add a 4G router as a failover backup.
If I do this, can I add the X50-5G to my existing M9 Deco units?

Hi, do you want to use "Ethernet WAN" as the primary connection and 4G/5G mobile service as the backup, such as:
How to set up 3G/4G or 4G/5G Backup on Deco router
There are some major differences when Deco X50-5G is the main Deco compared with Deco M9 Plus, such as:
Deco X50-5G uses the HomeShield security kit, not HomeCare on the Deco M9 Plus.
Deco X50-5G doesn't have "Test Internet Speed" on the Deco APP.
Other than these two points, Deco X50-5G would be a good choice.
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

@Andy_Capp You can use Deco X50 (5G) as a Main Unit and then you can use Deco M9 units as Satellite Units.

Hi, it is the built-in security kit on the Deco X50-5G. It has a free basic version and a paid advanced version.
TP-link HomeShield Service Update
If you want to subscribe advanced service, you can still use the basic version.
Best regards.
