Can I use the H200's wifi extender feature with my C310 or will I have to get a H500?
I want to buy the H200 as my C310 at the back keeps disconnecting. I unsure whether it will work as the hub connects to cameras using sub-1g and the camera is 2.4ghz.

Why not adding a network extension device if the router's WiFi coverage isn't enough? Like a range extender or access point.
It is possible to connect a Tapo WiFi camera (no hub required for installation) to the Tapo H200 or H500, but not in a direct way. The Tapo H200 and H500 have a WiFi Backup feature that allows you to connect the WiFi cameras to the hub.
The camera should be compatible with Tapo hub to use the WiFi backup feature. Please note that the Tapo C310 V1 is NOT compatible with the Tapo hub; however, the V2 is. Tapo Smart Hub Compatible Camera List

WiFi backup means the camera will only switch to connecting to the hub when router WiFi signal is too weak or gone. Therefore, if you need the camera stay connecting to the Tapo hub, the camera should not be within the router's wifi range or doesn't recognize the router wifi -- create an temporary wifi with different wifi name to connect the camera, after linking the camera to the hub and enable wifi backup, turn off this wifi, then the camera can maintain connection to the hub.
