Hello,

I just bought a pack of 3 Deco X 55-AX3000. SN: 22550UMX00276 US/1.30

I have a Bell fibre modem located in the living room, 18 metres away from the office where I work. This results in a weak and unstable connection, which is why I purchased three Deco X55 boxes to amplify and stabilise my connection. Important, the Bell modem cannot be moved because it is the only place where the technician was able to drill through the wall to install the fibre. I configured the Deco to my Bell fibre modem. I connected a main box to the Bell modem and downloaded the Deco app to my Samsung smartphone to add the three boxes. Adding them worked, but not without difficulty. Deco recognises my smartphone as the main client, but I can't see my laptop under windows 11. I was able to add my tablet Samsung as well.

Another question: how can I ensure that the Deco repeaters amplify my Wi-Fi connection? If this version of Deco X55 is optimised for my use?

I have tried to connect Ethernet to the Deco X55, I can see my laptop but not able to register it in the application, if I disconnect the cable, laptop disappears from the application. I need a solution with wifi

I don't know the hardware version of the Deco X55

Hi, welcome to the community.

Deco X55 is a good choice to expand the wireless coverage. Did you use the same SSID on both the Deco and Bell Router?

(It would be better to use a different SSID or disable WiFi on the Bell router and use Deco Mesh WiFi only.)

-Do you mean, when the laptop is connected via an Ethernet cable to the Deco, it shows up in the "Online List" of the Deco App, but disappears when connected via WiFi?

(If you check under "Offline List", will it be there?)

 

By the way, your Deco X55 hardware version is V1.3, and the latest firmware version would be 1.2.10 Build 20241105.
