Hello everyone, I have three TPLINK routers,
AX72 PRO
AX55
C80

My previous setup was a AX55 as main and C80 as Satellite and everything worked great,
but then I bought a AX72 PRO, and the setup became AX72 PRO (main) and AX55 Satellite, the C80 is just in storage,

I use the AX55 connected with ethernet to my PC.
The problem is that after a couple of months of usage, during downloads in steam or other kinds of heavy loads the AX55 goes offline after a couple of minutes.
I have tested, the AX72 PRO stays online via cable or WIFI.
I also recently bought a RE500XD to see if it stays online when the router goes offline, and it does. So clearly the problem is in the AX55.
The network is stable during day to day use but the second I download something from Steam, the Internet LED goes orange and it looses connection.
Is the AX72 PRO too powerful for the AX55? Especially during Steam downloads, do I need another AX72 or AX72 PRO?

Also when this happens the AX72 PRO has the AX55 as offline in the EasyMesh tab, and the AX55 has no access to the network lan or wan.

The problem didn't occur till recent, could it be a software update?

Some data:

Hello @AKGamerTech ,

Welcome to our community.

Have you created the EasyMesh network via Wireless Backhaul between the AX72 pro and AX55? If yes, please switch it to Ethernet Backhaul for a try.
Please ensure the Ethernet cable connecting your AX55 is secure and not damaged. Try replacing it with a new cable.

If it is already an Ethernet Backhaul between the main router and the satellite router, please remove the switch if one is present.

I have absolutely no way of switching to a Ethernet backhaul because it's a very old building that I cannot do changes in, the whole reason I was using TP-Link routers is because of the advertised onemesh network, that worked for a year +/- but then decided to fail.

Tried using the RE500XD as the repeater connected to my PC and it just works... Amazing, thanks TP-Link for the updates that killed the AX55... What a shame I spent so much money on ts that I can't just switch to a different router vendor.

Hello @AKGamerTech ,

Thanks for getting back to me.

Have you compared it with the Archer C80? Set the C80 to be a satellite node.

On the Archer AX55, please detect if there is a new firmware and update it for a try.

Re:Help me with my Mesh network (AX72 PRO, AX55, C80)

Both the new repeater RE500XD and C80 after testing have a stable connection and never reset, something that used to happen with the AX55, but lately it just either resets or just looses connection to the master router AX72 Pro, of course both the RE500XD and C80 deliver a slower speed, but they stay stable while downloading large games from Steam. It could be that in a recent update of the AX55 they messed up some power management thing and it overloads? idk not a professional in networking. The AX55 and AX72 Pro run on the latest software available, at least for my hardware model, both looked on the ota and the manual downloads. Funnily enough since the ax55 is offline due instablility and the C80 is in storage because while it's stable it's not very needed, the re500xd can handle 14 devices at once and give somewhat of a good speed, ofc I would love to go back to the AX55 because it gives double the speed (250 mpbs with the re500xd while 500+ mbps with the ax55) but it works for now.

Hello @AKGamerTech ,

Does the Archer AX55 automatically restore its network connection after each disconnection?

If you try to log in to the Archer AX55's Web UI at this time, are you able to access it normally? How to log in the Web interface page of EasyMesh satellite router
