Model: Tapo D235
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.1

I installed the Tapo D235 (using battery) a few days ago, and it is not detecting People or Pets events on a detection area, nor sending notifications, even with the detection level set to 10 and the wake-up sensitivity also set to 10.

It works when I run the detection beta test, when I use Live View, or sometimes when motion detection is enabled as well (sometimes, with motion detection enabled, it detects movement first and then People and/or Pets).

Keeping motion detection enabled all the time in the location where the camera is installed would be a problem, as it is facing a sidewalk.

  @Wayne-TP

Thank you for the suggestion.

I already tried and checked everything that's in that article. Nothing helped.

It's a shame that I had a doorbell from another famous brand and everything worked almost flawless. Now, with this Tapo doorbell it's a nightmare.

I have already sent the email. Let's see what will happen.

Anyway, I share with you that I can confirm that if I have motion detection disabled, and only people and pets motion detection enabled, more or less 30/45 minutes after I close live view, my Tapo d235 can't wake up from "sleep" and it only start to detect people or pets if I open live view again. I even tried to wave with my hand in front of the camera and the area of the PIR sensor and nothing seems to wake up the camera.

With motion detection also enabled it seems to work as expected.
