@David-TP Don't take this the wrong way, but don't go with the "buy a new Wifi 7 BE25 unit (and set it up as the main Deco of your current setup)" option which for the EU market falls again in the same root problem: EU firmwares are from Sept/Aug 2025, while US firmwares are updated more regularly and beta-released.
It's delaying the next firmware release with "new features that in reality it's new features plus bug fixes for non-working features and the universal 'Improved system security and stability' first-line of the changelog" or even wondering if you are considering releasing maintenance firmwares to patch vulnerable common libraries running in any *NIX software architecture.
Honestly, if I need to change the main Deco / router for my local home network, someone might start considering changing to other solutions from other vendors or open hardware projects.
At the end of the day, in these forums you are not going to find most of the clientele who buys COTS equipment at non-specialized distributors looking for plug-and-play solutions in a regular domestic network topology. We are nerds and geeks trying to configure something "advanced" to get better network performance or network services that I would have years ago mounted on an old workstation running some debian distro, later a raspberry with raspbian and tired of losing the smarthome, or the DLNA media server, or the music server, decided to get your all-in-one mesh solution instead of my ISP wifi mesh product which is even worse.
Once you lose the nerds, your solutions won't differentiate from anything sold in Alliexpress in terms of quality and reliability and will be replaced by a clone of a clone of an open-hardware project running openWRT with a skin.
