Model: Tapo C400
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

live feedMy camera motion detection doesn’t behind my window glass. It works with the live view but the motion detection is not picking up any footage.

I've disabled the night mode, increased detection and motion. Disabled the LED as well.

Nothing seems to be working at all, any reason for that? Or do I have to set it up outside? Anyone know why it doesn't work or pick up motion at all through the glass?

Tapo C400 is a battery‑powered camera designed for extended use. To maximize battery life, it remains in sleep mode most of the time and wakes up only when its PIR sensor detects motion or when you actively view the live feed. Detection and recording begin once the camera is awake.

Battery cameras are generally not recommended for installation behind glass windows, as glass can interfere with the PIR sensor and affect the detection feature.
