Using iphone and Ipad with Tapo app and since a few days when someone activate the doorbell the automatic voice do not work.

I went to parameters/doorbell (my version is in french so menu can be different) in Automatic Answer it says Activated. When I click on this there is a menu for "modify vocal answer" and when I click there, there is no more choice for text to chose from. Even in the "rapid answer" clic on the main menu where we see live camera there is nothing. This is the same on my Ipad as well.

Apps are up to date, firmware is the last.

I did remove and reinstall app without any success.

I did reset language by using English and same problem. I tried to put back French male but it does not exist anymore... so I used French Female but that does not fix it.

I know it's not the firware since it dates from october 2025 and I installed it in January.

so it's the app witch was updated one week ago.

hope anyone has a clue!

Hi,
What's the OS version of your iPhone and iPad? What version of the Tapo app is installed on them?

 

You can try to remove the Tapo D235 from the Tapo app to factory reset it, then reconfigure it in the Tapo app, and check whether the built-in voice responses appear on the Quick Response or Auto Response feature page.

Tapo is 3.17.105

ipad is 23.3
