Hello,

new owner of C560WS, very nice camera and better options than Xiaomi which was my 2nd option.

I have one question, I made DETECTION ZONE so road in front is not triggered as cars contantly drive there and I dont care.

I made 2 zones as soon as anything enters inside my yard that it is detected.

Can I make tracking also work in those zones and not all the time ?

As I dont want camera to trigger and follow any car that drives by on the street but only those when they enter my DETECTION ZONE ?

Thanks

Hi,

If a detection zone is configured, the motion tracking feature can only be triggered by movement within that zone. However, once motion tracking is triggered, it will operate across the entire viewing area. This means that if the moving object leaves the detection zone after triggering, the camera may continue to follow it outside the zone. In your scenario, if vehicles are always moving outside of the detection zone, they should not trigger motion tracking at all.

Thank you very much, I got it working and it works like it should.

One follow up question, one camera after 2-3 days drifts down pretty much, restart solves it but still it is not normal.

Lets say I restart camera, it shows roof and some blue sky in default position, after 2-3 days it came to the half of the roof and no sky of course.

Pan&tilt option does not work, it says it has reached its max postition in that direction which is up.

I restart it and voila, it is again in proper position, dont get why it is making it lower after some time, please check that with software guys if possible, it must come every time on its max position on either side, dont get why it does not, it is software problem 100%.

Thanks a lot

Hi,

You may refer to this article: What to do if the Tapo Pan/Tilt camera can't return to its original position properly after tracking

Thank you, mine does not drift on any side but only down so I lose whole upper 1/5 of the screen which I need to be recorded.

That is a weird problem really, auto reboot seems to fix it, I see if it will hold today till next reboot around 05AM but that must be fixed by software update, camera is firmly on the wall so motors dont go up as they do after restart.

Have Xiaomi indoor camera and it does not have that issue, dont make us go Xiaomi way as your software and app are superior to them.
