Hello.

firstly I am not a tech or IT person so go easy on me and my limited knowledge in this space. I have been a user of the Deco S4 for the last 6 years. Due to speed increases that I was not taking advantage of that I was paying for ( info from the ISP) I have decided to invest in the Deco XE75 pro. I have decided to reach out to this wonderful community to assist with instructions on how is the best way to make the switch over as I am fearful I will blow up. There are several features I would like to use that I did not take advantage of with the S4. Such as having my kids in a separate secure network, having a guess network , phones , tv etc on their own and if possible have my security cameras also in a seperate network. 

Finally I do have the app installed for the S4.

Hi, 
Below are some tips for setting up the Deco XE75 Pro.

 

1. Before you set up the Deco XE75 Pro, it's recommended to go to your Deco app > More > Internet Connection to check your internet connection type. If the Advanced > IPTV/VLAN is enabled on the Deco S4, it's recommended to take a picture of this page. You may need this configuration information when setting up the new Deco.

 

2. Disconnect the Deco S4 from your modem, and connect a Deco XE75 Pro to your modem. Then, you can refer to the following instructions to configure the new Deco. 
    a. If you do not want to delete the Deco S4 network, refer to the instructions to create a new Deco network for the Deco XE75 Pro: How to Create Multiple TP-Link Deco Networks in the Deco App
    b. Setting up the new Deco: How to Set Up Your Deco
    c. Add the satellite Deco: How to Add Another Deco to Your Existing Network
 

3. You can create the main Wi-Fi network, Guest Wi-Fi network, and IoT Wi-Fi network on the Deco XE75 Pro, and connect your client devices to one of them. Usually, we recommend connecting smart devices, such as security cameras, to the IoT network.
