Hi all
My router Deco X5000 5g v1 often loose connection, forcing me to power it off, wait 5/10 min then reboot
The problem often occurs when the entire team (15 people) is present and connected to the router
The router feels very warm to the touch, so I suspect it's a temperature issue.

Firmware is 1.3.0 Build 20250724 Rel. 41491 and no update are available

I found the description of a similar problem at  https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/838360?sortDir=ASC&page=2
where in November 2025 they talk  of a  firmware version ad hoc where the temperature problem was solved 
by modifying the /etc/fan_config.json file, can anyone help me?

Hi, 
For the reported phenomenon, please provide the following information when Deco loses connection for further analysis.

 

  1. What's the LED status on the Deco? 
  2. Please record the detailed date, time, and your time zone when the issue occurs(Please specify the time down to the minute). 
  3. Go to the Deco app > More > Internet Connection > Additional Information page and send us a screenshot of this page.
  4. Please log in to the Deco's web UI > Advanced > System > System Log, select ALL in Log Type, save the system log, and send us the new log file.
