Archer C6 2.4G band stops working, disable then enable restores

On 4 occasions the 2.4G WiFi band has stopped working, devices can connect to it but get no network access. Disabling and enabling the 2.4G band on the admin interface restores the connectivity, the 5G band is not affected, a device connected to it is used to reset the 2.4G band.
I used the chat support service to discuss the issue and the suggestion was to change from automatic to a fixed channel for the 2.4G band, this appeared to resolve the issue but it has happened again today, a phone which only works on 2.4G was showing the WIFI as access denied.
is there anything else I can do to resolve this issue.

@Kubas I've also tried disabling the guest network and so far after 2 days, 2.4ghz still online and no crashes.

Hi, very nice. If you have it stable let it work.
It is still unclear for me what is causing this. But i have never seen this issue coming back,when i get the C6 stable, but i can force it by enabling the 2.4 GHz Guest and set the wireless under stress, then it will comeback .in a day.

If you want a firmware like 1.2.x you should try beta 1.3.1. The wireless changes they made were reverted in 1.3.1 😉.

Thanks for the heads up. Where can I get my hands on a 1.3.1 beta firmware?

It disables the hidden OneMesh Network. This issue began with 1.3.0 and the OneMesh update.
So if you don`t need OneMesh it is worth to try..., maybe it will cure your C6 until this is fixed.

Thanks. I will flash this and see how it goes. At this point, I honestly feel like dumping TP Link and going back to Netgear. They're way more competent than these TP Link idiots.

@RedIndianRobin From 1.2.x I have installed openwrt and then gone back to 1.2.x using tftp. You just follow openwrt instructions. But in wrt 5ghz is not stable enough yet.
