DHCP server enabled automatically when server rebooted.
I installed a TL-PA4010 Kit in an office with a Windows 2008 server that provides DHCP.
All works well until the server is rebooted.
Then the PA4010 takes on the role of DHCP server preventing the DHCP server on the server from starting.
Anyone know why this is happening and how to stop it.
Thanks.
Frank

As an ethernet powerline adapter, the TL-PA4010 has no DHCP server and it does not need IP address actually.
May I know is there any wireless extension exsited? Like TL-WPA4220?
Besides, cause the Windows DHCP server will detect the DHCP packets from the others, you can verify whether you can change the DHCP settings on the server itself.
Good day.

@linuxas Hello,
PA4010KIT are wired powerline units and do not have a DHCP, do you have any switch or other DHCP that may assign the IP address?
Can you help confirm some information here to locate the issue:
- May I know the network topology : for example ISP XX--- Router Archer C7--PA8010 .... <powerline> ...WPA8630P :
- Do you use PA4010KIT , both units are PA4010 ? May I know the Firmware and hardware version of your Powerline KIT: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/1091/
- Led Status on both powerline units when issue happens?
- Did you set up static IP address on VMs host, and what is the IP range of your router, thank you!

@Solla-topee good afternoon...here is what i got....
both adapters are TL-PA4010 (AV600) (FIRMWARE 1.3.1 2141-00_401013_171025_901), not sure about my hardware version,but i think it's the latest (bought the adapters 2 months ago,march 2021)
no switch in my net,just my vodafone router.
my steup:
router,on it connected the firts adapter on one lan port,an my desktop on another
ip range is 192.168.2.x
router model Vodafone H 300s
in my vms i usually set static in 192.168.2.x OR on time or two i leave it to dhcp.....and then,i switch back to static....
the case is that,sometimes,my pc switches from 192.168.2.x to 192.168.1.x and i dont know why!
in this time i can not access my vms as you understand.....
tried to pair the two adapters in secure net,to see if i got some results.....
thank you for any help!

@linuxas Good day,
It is recommended to put 2 powerline units in the same room and check if TV recorder could get a stable connection or not.
If TV recorder work stable when 2 powerline units in the same room, it is possible that powerline rate low which means power environment is not good enough for device to work stably, for details, please check our support email, thank you.
