Its been running great for 6 months, I had to top my account up after that the router no longer detected the sim card, which is the same as before, have checked the sim card in other devices, have rebooted, have tried all sorts of crap, I can't access the router admin cause the router won't detect the sim.... would appreciate some help. I currently hot spotting on my phone. yes with the same sim card.

You are still able to login to the web UI when there is no SIM card inserted. Connect your computer to the MR6400 and login to the web UI with domain name or IP address.

 

You can unplug the sim card and plug it back and repeat it few times; or you can hard reset the MR6400 by holding the reset button for 10s with SIM card inserted. 

 

Besides, you can change another SIM card and verify whether it can be detected.

hi @Kevin_Z  , i have same issue. I've already do step by step as per you recommendation. But  my TL-MR6400 still can't detect sim card. Even I've already check the sim card using smartphone and it's ok no issue.

so what should I do?

By the way, how long have you had the modem?

Most of the time, If the SIM card was not detected, the IP addresses are all “--”.

Could you please also send me a picture of the 3/4G status under the internet section?
