My router keep disconnecting from internet. It has been a week and it happen since day one I bought the router.

At first, I thought I have problem with my sim card but when I use another simcard, same thing happened.

setting up new MR600 to replace Huuwei B310-22 using Three 4G for last 3 years, can't even get through Quick setup to get internet , profiles for three looked completed different, so copied from the Huawei, but no difference, also tried isp update , no internet connection ,, it seems it can grab 3G but can't sustain any 4G with same sim and physical location, the Huawei doesn't even have any internal antennas connected to it  and its making this MR600 looking like its duff...

@ahhydri Does the SIM have a Security PIN active? I also strongly believe that if you have a pure Data SIM rather than a SIM deal with calls, SMS and Data it's better...

 

If someone sends an SMS or called the SIM card number, it MUST do something within the router that effects the process...

 

It's the ONLY thing I can think it could be?

@hradzi the sim i use its data only sim and there no pin activated. i think due to high load on the tower it randomly refusies the connection. something from the ISP side i believe.

@hradzi No solution for my issue. I just dump my router into trash can and bought Huawei B618S 65D. No issue with this router. It is the best.

I wont buy tp link product anymore.

same with mine , tried beta f/w to select  bands still no luck , even with external antenna (that makes the Huawei even better that it was !) i'm still left with a brand new 

MR600 (that im open to offers on) that can only get 3g when 2 other devices can find three bars of 4g out of the same environment)

After having this exact problem and scrolling past many frustratingly similar comments... I've followed the general consensus and have ordered a replacement router from a different manufacturer! But while I'm waiting for that to arrive I came across a "fix" which seems to have stopped this issue for me.

 

It came from this thread - https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/176312?page=12 - "Enabling IGMP Snooping in the Advanced tab under Network/LAN Settings seems to have solved the issue". I have done this and it does seem to have stopped the constant dropping of connection.

 

Another "fix" that was suggested was to Turn off the "smart connect" (I haven't done this and mined is behaving so maybe try the above first).
