TL-WPA8630(EU) Ver.2.0 no WiFi/no web access after firmware update and reset
End novembre 2018, I bought a TL-WPA8630 KIT and upgraded the firmware on the "TL-WPA8630(EU) Ver.2.0" from the firmware it came with (shown as 2.2.2.1218-00_863012_161220_901 in tp-link utlity) to the V2.0_190910 firmware. Everything seemed to work fine (except that the tp-link utility still showed the old firmware level), including web access and WiFi;
Recently I've had problems on my network which meant I had to do a reset of the adapter. Although I didn't notice it at the time (I have another WiFi access point) I now have no web access to the adapter, no WiFi and it doesn't have an ip address on my network. I tried to reset it with the button on the device and nothing happens (it has the first two leds on - green - and they stay on no matter how long I hold the reset button down). None of the three buttons on the side do anthing at all (WiFi/LED/Pair). When I try to reset with the tp-link utility, I get an error "incapable de réunitialiser l'appareil". The only thing that appears to work is the CPL-LAN switching.
After checking on the forums, I think the firware update failed partially, so that the adapter worked until it was reset and now is "bricked" with regard to the WiFi/router fonctionality...
Is there any way to recover the device ? The tp-link utility offers the possibility of doing another firmmware update, but it needs "NVM" and "PIB" files, but all the firmware for this device is in "BIN" format
