Hi Kevin..thanks for your reply and for your details "in red" !....but i would like to understand why in this brand the staff make call (in the name) the new version of firmware with low numbers in comparision with the previous one.

According me this fact make crazy everybody that not understand well which is the newer version...what do you think about?

@Robynbra

This beta firmware is provided by the dev team, and they generally attach a date suffix to distinguish different beta versions, so this actually doesn't mean anything about whether it's newer or older.

@Kevin_Z

Thanks for the beta firmware link! After experiencing several internet disconnection every day I just installed the firmware on my Archer MR600 V1 and chose 2 bands that worked well in auto mode before (20 and 28). Download and upload speeds cranked up by 50% so far (nice!) and I'll wait to see if internet drops again bu I hope not.

I wanted to ask if you had any advices on the band selection?

Here are printscreens of the router when internet was disconnected. Please note that all lights on the device we lit as if it was still working. Power on, Internet light on, 3 bars of network... But it was disconnected. I had to shut the modem down and reboot it manually to get internet back. A reboot on the router's online interface would not do the trick.

And here are the details now when it's connected:

Thanks for your help!

I found the specs of the 4G antenna I'm connecting to (with Free mobile in France): 723.0 - 733.0MHz 778.0 - 788.0MHz band 20 is 800mhz and 28 is 700mhz so the auto selection from the router makes sense and I locked those 2 values. Let's see

Yes, the beta firmware provided by TP-Link official is safe, and it is tested to work fine on the product by the development team.

If you have since experienced an issue of disconnecting or slowness on the 4G Wi-Fi router’s network due to the auto band selection, and you would like to switch the band manually by yourself you can download and install the following beta firmware on your router.

Note: Please note that not all combinations of the 4G bands are supported in 4G+ mode. Only when the router and the SIM card support the same combinations of 4G band in 4G+ mode, the bands might be aggregated successfully.
