Ethernet Backhaul of Range Extenders
Hoping ethernet backhaul for OneMesh can be implemented in future updates. As this will help a lot of people that has Range Extenders without the need to buy Deco.

Update:
Hi, It is planned to support EasyMesh over Ethernet Backhaul under Range Extender mode.
It will start with RE315_V1 and gradually be added to other EasyMesh-supported extenders.
RE315 Supports EasyMesh Over Ethernet Backhaul
Note:
1. An extender needs to support EasyMesh (over Wi-Fi) first, then supports EasyMesh over Ethernet Backhaul.
2. Ethernet Backhaul only works when both your main router and satellite extender support EasyMesh over Ethernet Backhaul.
Best regards.

Hi, thanks for suggestions. Currently, there are not any plans to eventually support the Ethernet Backhaul on the range extenders. If you need the Ethernet backhaul features, you are suggested to get a Deco pack.

I'm currently trying to use my Archer AX6000 and RE505X with the onemesh feature and I'm really disapointed with the performance.
With onemesh feature activated, sometimes the wifi connection freeze or remains with a very low spped.
So, I believe TP-Link must develop a cable backhaul for these devices. In this way, I supose the connection will be much more stable and the overall performance will be acceptable.
Please, consider this development or improve the wireless backhault to be stable and garantee good performance when the onemesh featured is enabled.

I have given up with tplink.
After months of unrelaible wifi, no wired backhaul mesh possible, i finally bougth a Orbi set.
Should have done this earlier... had saved me much headaches.
Succes with your strougles.

@BonanGui Doesn't the RE505X comes with an ethernet port? I thought the wired backhaul can be done with this, so it don't? I was about to buy one for my AX6000

Are the AX6000 and the RE505X on the same floor, or they are located on different floors? How far between the two? What if you try to move them closer?

Dear @Kevin_Z
Both equipment are installed in tha same floor.
The signal looks good when I check it via Tether APP.
I have configured RE505X as an Access Point, creating a new wifi network (exactly what I don´t want) beacuse with Onemesh activated, it was impossible to use my wifi network.
I didn´t understand why TP-Link don´t enable the backhaul via ethernet cable.
I know you have other products with this functionality, but in my case, I have bought AX6000 recently and I don´t have plans to spend more money with a different solution.
If I need to do it, probably I will change to other manufacturer.

This is such a simple ask that would make this hardware so much more valuable. I have an AX21 and RE505X and enabling wired backhaul for the RE505X ethernet port to work with onemesh would solve many problems.
Might look into going back to Orbi etc.

Please, make support the Ethernet Backhaul on the range extenders. It would me much better, convenient. Deco modules are big and not practical. The range extender is small and you need 0.2 m Ethernet cable to connect it to the Ethernet socket on the wall and that's it. You have a solid signal to the extender and no loss of wi fi signal to the devices. The Deco modules are bulky and need some furniture to be placed near the electrical plugs on the wall... I do not know who came up with this idea/marketing but it is not convenient and practical at all!! Those who have already bought routers that can support OneMesh (or after update) can benefit from extenders with cables or another router that can connect with router that support OneMesh
We want extenders to have Ethernet Backhaul and second, we want to be able to connect 2 or more routers in OneMesh system!!!! Is it to much !??
